The second TGL Fundraiser on July 22nd! Come and support us!

Dear friends,

Our second fundraiser will take place at Habana Room in the Radisson Hotel, NYC.
Tickets are $20, including 2 drinks. There will be $5 Mojitos, Sangrias and beers throughout the night.

TGL to Participate in an Event on Women Empowerment at the United Nations, Organized by The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development

TGL encourages you to attend a Side Event on Women Empowerment, organized by the Dominican Mission to the United Nations in collaboration with the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development and the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic
The program will focus on "empowerment of young women through the Youth Delegates to the United Nations Programme". Speakers will include various United Nations agency representatives (The U.N. Program on Youth, ECOSOC, GFDD) and most importantly Ambassador Federico Alberto Cuello Camilo, permanent representative of the Dominican Republic to the United Nations.

TGL advisor Abdul-Mumin Yussif to attend major youth Forum in Sweden this June

Our members are making strides at the international level which gives TGL the capacity to innovate and give its participants top of the line programs" said Rida Mawla who is helping to develop the social media image of TGL.

Yussif who lives in Ghana and is currently working on Climate Change issues, is an example of how globally oriented our team is making sure TGL gets the international exposure it deserve

TGL president, Raymond Ratti, to present in Marrakech, Morocco in June

Raymond Ratti, president and director of TGL will be presenting in a panel his research about Moroccan and Turkish Immigrant's political participation in Holland. The panel will take place in Marrakech, Morocco, as part of the John Jay International Conference.

TGL has been invited to participate in the National Dominican Student Conference in Cornell University

TGL to participate with President Clinton at the CGI U conference in Coral Gables

TGL will participate in the Clinton Initiative Conference in Miami on April 16th.
The initiative is aimed at supporting humanitarian and development endeavors like TGL's.

TGL's Fundraiser/opening was a success!

Thanks to all that came out and supported a good cause! TGL launch party went great, despite bad weather. All different people from different backgrounds and professions came together to find out exactly what TGL is about and to donate to a good cause.

This summer, TGL will bring students to Domincan Republic and Haiti and implement community programs there, not only bringing awareness to the much needed area of environmental sustainability, but also teach the international students how dedication and hard work can bring relief and awareness to poverty stricken regions.
